Traxen is a personal finance tracker that automatically turns your bank
SMS alerts into an organized view of your spending. This policy explains what we collect,
how we use it, and the choices you have. Privacy comes first: we never sell your data and
we never share your personal information with third parties for advertising.
Information we collect
Bank transaction SMS. With your permission, Traxen reads bank/UPI
alert messages from your device to detect transactions (amount, merchant, date).
Account details. The email address or phone number you sign up with.
Transaction data derived from your SMS, plus any transactions,
categories, budgets, or goals you add yourself.
We do not collect banking passwords, PINs, card numbers, OTPs, or
net-banking credentials.
How we use your information
To automatically record and categorize your transactions.
To show your spending analytics, budgets, and goals.
To power Trixy, our AI assistant, which offers insights based on your spending
patterns. Trixy’s suggestions are for information only and are not professional
financial advice.
SMS permissions
Traxen requests SMS access solely to read bank transaction messages so it can track your
expenses automatically. Your messages are used only for this purpose. You can revoke SMS
permission at any time in your device settings; Traxen will simply stop reading new alerts.
Storage and security
Transaction data is processed on your device and synced securely to our encrypted
servers over HTTPS. Each user’s data is isolated to their own account.
Third-party sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing. The only
time data leaves Traxen is when you choose to connect an integration:
Splitwise (optional). If you connect your Splitwise account, expenses
you choose to split are sent to Splitwise on your instruction, and we read your Splitwise
groups, friends, and expenses to show and sync splits. This happens only while connected,
and you can disconnect at any time.
Your choices
Revoke SMS access in your device settings.
Disconnect Splitwise from within the app.
Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with
a new “Last updated” date.
